What is Bootcamp? Fitness Bootcamp is a developed form of military-style training known as recruit training, or boot camp, where new military personnel would receive training and instruction to give them the skills required for their positions. Today Bootcamps for the general fitness enthusiast have become an extremely popular way of exercising, delivering a focused session within a circuit style.

A Typical Vitality Bootcamp session: Following a 10 minute warm up and dynamic stretching you will do a 30 – 40 minute fast-paced session in which you do one exercise for 30 – 90 seconds and then move on to another exercise with a short break. An aerobic activity will be followed by a muscle-strengthening activity so you will benefit from a metabolic training effect. Every session finishes with a cool down to ensure your muscles are properly stretched while they are still warm.
Am I fit enough to do Vitality Bootcamp? Vitality Bootcamp classes tend to be intense, but they are completely adaptable to the individual and everyone works at their own pace. All abilities are welcome and if your fitness levels are low then almost everything we do will have a modified, easier version if you need it.
I’ve never done Bootcamp before. Will I be screamed at? This is not military bootcamp and is not about Helena shouting and screaming at you. You will be training alongside other like-minded people in a friendly environment with supportive coaching. Helena will always ensure you are using the correct technique and that you push yourself within your own limits to get maximum benefit. Upbeat music is always played to get everyone in the mood!

How many people can do the session? Vitality limits the number of participants to a maximum of 10 people per session so everyone can get individual support, encouragement and coaching technique.
How much does Vitality Bootcamp cost? A five-week Bootcamp course costs £40, which means that for just £8 per session you will be working with a Personal Trainer for a fraction of the cost by exercising in a group. If you cannot commit to 5 weeks, you can pay for individual sessions which cost £10 each.
Do you offer discounts? We offer fantastic referral rewards for our boot campers who bring their friends. If you refer one friend whot joins for a five-week course, you get your next boot camp for half price. If you refer two friends and they both join, you get your next Bootcamp course free of charge!

Do I have to attend every session? If you want to achieve results then, yes, you need to attend each session, unless of course you are ill or injured. There are no refunds for missed sessions, but you can also use our home workouts to make up for any sessions you do have to miss and we will email these to you once you have signed up
How long are sessions? Sessions last for 1 hour, which includes a 10-minute warm up, and 10 minutes at the end for core- specific and stretching exercises. The main session lasts for 40 minutes as research has shown that the best way to burn body fat is to do High Intensity Interval Training for no more than 40 minutes. You will get a metabolic training effect, which means you will burn calories for hours after training!
What happens in bad weather? Vitality Bootcamps take place indoors during the winter, and outside during the summer when we like to make the most of the sunshine and good weather. Indoor facilities are always available so we never have to worry about unpredictable weather!

What do I need to bring? Just bring a towel, water bottle, and an exercise mat if you have one and ensure you are wearing comfortable workout clothing and the correct footwear. No muddy trainers indoors please! We will provide the fun and motivating workouts!
